Not only does next Monday bring the televised return of Conan O’Brien, but it brings an end to Seattle’s original all sleaze-talk station. Fisher Broadcasting is switchingÂ KVI-AM from conservatalk to oldies music.

Clark,

This will be interesting. Not that it’s reasonable to hope that KVI might be anything like its “glory days” as Seattle’s leading “Middle-of-the-road” station in the 60’s with the likes of Bob Hardwick and Jack Morton on the microphone–heck, most of those guys are probably dead by now. It’d get a few listeners’ attention, though, if they resurrected the Hugh Heller/Johnny Mann “Sound Of The City” station ID jingles.
